About Us

We are all about Kansas City!

They say that in Kansas City, the residents dress like tourists! One look into our closets, and we realize this is true. We love Kansas City-and we shout it from the rooftops! Kansas City Pride has become a fashion statement!

Our frame line was created by two guys from Kansas City, (who just happen to be optometrists, as well-so they are no strangers to eyeglasses.) We know that eyewear makes a statement, so we wanted to offer some KC Pride in a frame line. It's been a labor of love, and we are pleased to have had some talented, KC-loving people join us along the way. The MYKC Eyewear line is something we are proud to offer Kansas City residents, and anyone else who loves this city! (Proof of residency not required.)

Only the Best Will Do!!

We were pretty particular about creating this frame line, and we are also pretty particular about who represents it. MYKC Eyewear will only be found at select opticals that we know are the best. These opticals aren't high-end boutiques with over-priced eyeglasses. They are Kansas City owned opticals with great Kansas City people working in them that have eyeglasses for all price ranges. They will also fill your prescription with high quality lenses so you will not just look great but also see great!

The Details Matter!!

MYKC Eyewear frames have awesome style, but they are also really well made. The frames are all named after cool parts of our city and Kansas City  landmarks. You will find the frame name inside the temple of each frame. You will also find the MYKC metal inlay at the temple tip of our frames-we think this ups the cool factor. Even MYKC frame cases have detail and styling to set them apart from the rest.

These details and quality matter to us- A LOT. But so does having a frame line that is accessible to everyone. We made sure our collection has frames for all face shapes and sizes, and is not so overpriced that they are excluding. That just simply wouldn't represent the city we are honoring with this line.
